Abstract: Background Recently, pulmonary hypertension(PH) has been studied worldwide. PH is a complex disorder of the pulmonary vasculature that leads to increased perioperative morbidity and mortality. PH constitute a significant risk in patients with non-cardiac surgery. The surgical patient is frightened with life-threatening consequences and anesthetic management is great challenging. Objective A thorough understanding of the pathophysiology, the severity of the disease and accurately anesthetic management is required to reduce the morbidity and mortality in perioperative period. Content In this article, we aim to reviewing studies published in the last decade with emphasis on pre-operative recognition and perioperative anesthesia management of adults with PH. Trend Patients with PH should be paid more attention. The anesthesia should provide accurate management to reduce morbidity and mortality.
