Abstract: Objective To investigate the feasibility and security of laparoscopic cholecystectomy in aged patients, and assessment and fair dealing of risk surrounding operation. Methods We reviewed the anesthetic date of 480 aged patients with medical complications. Results All patients had the anaesthesia and operation completed successfully. There was no serious cardiovascular complications and no death of the patients. All patients recovered well after the operation. Conclusion Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is safe and feasible method in aged patients by appropriate treating before operation, preventing the fierce change of hemodynamics throughout the anesthesia, maintaining the supply and demand balance of myocardial oxygen, adjusting the parameters of ventilation, operating under the low abdominal pressure.
