Cerebral hyperperfusion syndrome (CHS) is a rare, serious complication after carotid revascularization. The purpose of this review was to summarize this syndrome from the pathophysiology,clinical manifestation,risk factors , diagnostic modalities, and disease management, to provide insight for future research to better elucidate how to reduce the morbidity and mortality caused by CHS.
