Background　Cyclooxygenase（Cox-2） inhibitors play an important part in multimodal analgesia， and are gradually puted use into some new fields.　Objective　To elaborate the feasibility of the use of parecoxib sodium in perioperative analgesia.　Content　This article focus on the pharmacology， the use in perioperative analgesia， explorations in new fields and the notes of parecoxib sodium.　Trend　Parecoxib sodium is effective in perioperative analgesia under standard treatment doses， further studies are needed to explore its generalization in new fields.
