Background Dexmedetomidine (DEX) is a highly potent selective alpha-2 adrenergic agonis, which has many pharmacological actions，such as sedation, analgesic, anti-sympathetic and so on, and has a unique role as conscious sedation, and without relevant respiratory depression. With off-lable use, and a growing body of studies have proved the advantage of DEX application in obstetric analgesia and anesthesia, the use of DEX in obstetric practice will be more and more.Objective to assess the efficacy and safety of DEX application in obstetric analgesia and anesthesia, and provide evidence for its clinical application.
