Background Central venous catheter (CVC) has become an important treatment technique in clinic and more and more physicians voice growing concern over it. More and more recent studies on CVC indicate that the catheter tip position is very crucial and, the catheter misplacement may lead to serious complications. Objective To provide a potential theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of by positioning the catheter tip in clinic. Content Monitoring the catheter tip position can effectively reduce catheter-related complications. Studies have found that positioning the catheter tip is of great important for CVC use. Trend To explore the correlation of catheter depth, height and weight by positioning the catheter tip, and then infer a formula through using statistical analysis.
