Abstract: Background Morbidity and mortality is significantly increased in patients with pulmonary hypertension(PH) undergoing noncardiac surgeries. Perioperative treatment of anesthesia is one of challenges for anesthesiologists. Objective This article summarizes recent studies about the anesthesia in PH and anesthetic management in order to provide theoretical foundation of clinical practice for anesthesiologists. Content This review expounds information of PH regarding the definition, Diagnosis, risk factors for morbidity and mortality in noncardiac surgeries, preoperative preparation and assessment, anaesthetic approach and management, as well as treatment of severe complications. Trend With the deepening of studies on PH, the anaesthetic management during noncardiac surgery will be optimized, and morbidity and mortality will be growing downwards.
