Abstract: Background Postoperative analgesia is the basic auxiliary measures of total knee arthroplasty(TKA), which is directly related to the result of surgery and the recovery of knee function. Objective To summarize the research progress of analgesia after knee arthroplasty at home and abroad. Content The analgesic therapy of TKA has its advantages and disadvantages. The application of new analgesic drugs and technologies makes analgesia more diversity, and now the choice of analgesic drugs and methods focuses more on postoperative knee function recovery and individual experiences. Trend Multimodal analgesia(MMA), which is represented by local infiltration analgesia(LIA), has been put forward and studied at home and abroad in recent years. A number of studies have confirmed the effect of MMA, but how to develop individualized MMA is still one of important problems in clinic.
