Abstract: Objective To observe and compare the clinical application effect of dezocine and sufentanil in elderly patients, who were undergoing hysteroscopic removal of intrauterine device. Methods Forty patients undergoing hysteroscopic removal of intrauterine device were randomly divided into dezocine group(group D) and sufentanil group (group S)(n=20). MAP, HR, SpO2, respiratory(RR) were monitored after entering the operation room(T0), 1 min after anesthesia (T1), the dilation of uterine cervix (T2), the end of operation(T3), anesthesia recovery (T4). Respiratory depression(SpO2<90% or apnea time>15 s), propofol dosage, the patients' eye opening time under calling after surgery, the recovery time of orientation, the incidence of nausea, vomiting, dizziness and other adverse reaction were observed in both groups. Results Comparations between the two groups showed that MAP[(77±4) mmHg(1 mmHg=0.133 kPa)] and SpO2[(96.3±1.3)%] at 1 min after anesthesia in group D were higher than that in group S [(72±4) mmHg and (93.6±1.5)%](P<0.05), while HR [(65±5) bpm] and RR [(14.6±1.3) bpm] were significantly more than that in group S [(61±5) bpm and (12.4±1.6) bpm] (P<0.05). HR[(72±4) bpm] at the dilation of uterine cervix in group D was significantly more than that in group S[(66±5) bpm](P<0.05). The patients' eye opening time under calling after surgery[(3.6±1.2) min] and the recovery time of orientation [(5.5±1.7) min] in group D were significantly shorter than that in group S[(5.5±0.9) min and(7.4±1.4) min](P<0.05), while the incidence of depression(5%) were significantly lower than that in group S(15%)(P<0.05). Conclusions Compared to sufentanil, dezocine is a safe and effecient narcotic with much lighter incidence of respiratory depression, more stable hemodynamics status, and much shorter recovery time of anesthesia and orientation, more comfortabe in elderly patients undergoing hysteroscopic removal of intrauterine device.
