Background　Opioid drug is a common medication used to treat cancer-related pain in clinic. However， its efficiency and safety present significant individual difference. So it's dosage oftern needs to be adjust gradually to get optimal dosage.　Objective　To summarized the application of dosage titration and rotation of opioids in cancer pain treatment for safe and effective analgesia.　Content　We compared the properties of different opioids on titration， rotation and the suppression of breakthrough pain during the treatment of cancer pain， and proposed the problem of their application.　Trend　Further studies are needed for the dosage titration and rotation of opioids in the treatment of cancer pain， in order to facilitate clinical practices.
