Abstract: Objective To study the effect of WeChat clinic service on postoperative analgesia after cesarean section. Methods 240 Patients undergoing cesarean section with patient-controlled intravenous analgesia were randomly assigned to traditional management group(T group) and WeChat management group(W group). In T group ,the patients were followed-up daily. The nurse informed the anesthesiologist whenever the paients met with pain problems. In W group, the patients were guided to join in the WeChat public service and were educated with knowledge of analgesia before the operation.The patients or their family members fed back pain problems via WeChat to the anesthesiologists and later the anesthesiologists dealed with these issues according to the effect of analgesia. The NRS score was copmpared between two groups at 6, 12, 24 ,48h postoperatively.Patient satisfaction, the pain attention rate of medical staff on patients, the analgesic information feedback rate of patients were also compared between T group
and W group.Results The NRS score was significantly higher in W group compared with T group at different time points. Patient satisfaction was increased in W group (96.7%) in comparison to T group(78.3%). The pain attention rate of Medical staff was noted to be higher in W group (97.4%) versus T group(81.7%). The analgesic information feedback rate of patients was also increased in W group (85.0%) versus T group(25.8%). Conclusion Compared with the traditional management method, WeChat can Improve the quality of postoperative analgesia management after cesarean section timely and effectively.
