Background Perioperative hypothermia is a common problem in perioperative settings and may result in serious complications, however the underlying effect on perioperative bleeding and coagulation mechanism remain unclear. Objective To review the research advances of the effectiveness of perioperative hypothermia on blood loss and coagulation. Content This paper elucidated the effects of perioperative hypothermia on perioperative bleeding and coagulation based on clinical trials and basic research. Trend The effectness of different degree of hypothermia on blood loss and coagulation still need further research.
