Background Previous studies have showed that acupuncture has various clinical effects, including reduce the dosage of anesthetic, analgesia, combat nausea and vomiting, and so on. For nowadays, acupuncture has been widely used in perioperative, including laparoscopic surgery. Objective The aim of this article is to discuss the advance of acupuncture during perioperative in laparoscopic surgery. Content When applied to the perioperative of laparoscopic surgery, acupuncture can produce many effects, for example, decrease the dosage of anesthetic, maintain the hemodynamic stability intraoperative, relieve postoperative pain, nausea, and vomiting, alleviate postoperative restlessness, etc. Trend Acupuncture has the very good effect, and has few interferences to physiology, also is safe to use. so, it can be well used in perioperative of laparoscopic surgery.
