A lot of researches shows that acupuncture has preventive efficacy on postoperative nausea and vomiting(PONV) which also has a good preventive effect.　Objective　This article is an overview mechanisms and risk factors of PONV, as well as the progress of acupuncture Neiguan (PC6) and Zusanli (ST36) application in the prevention and treatment of PONV.　Content　Acupuncture PC6 and ST36 can reduce the incidence and severity of PONV, and it can also reduce postoperative pain also.　Trend　Acupuncture PC6 and ST36 have a good efficacy on PONV.
