Abstract: Background Post-spinal hypotension in cesarean section is common and severe. Vasopressors therapy is the most effective method to treat hypotension. However, the drug choice and the using method of vasopressors in pregnancy are controversial. Objective To review the recent advances on vasopressors in obstetric anesthesia. Content This review focuses on the mechanism of post-spinal hypotension in obstetric anesthesia, the choice and dosage regimen of vasopressors. Trend Vasopressors should be used reasonably and individually in clinical practice.
