Abstract: Objective To evaluate the role of GasMan @ software computer assisted in the theoretical study of inhaled anesthetics. Methods: 96 trainees were randomly divided into test group (S) and control group (C), with 48 persons in each group. All the persons underwent anesthesia theory test 1 and recorded test scores; After 6 hours inhalation anesthesia teaching, GasMan@ software computer assisted was teached in group S while self-study inhalation anesthesia reference in group C . Results there was no statistically significant difference between group S and group C in test 1. Compared with group C,the scored of test 2 in Group S was significantly increased. 100% of the persons believe that the teaching of combining GASMAN @ computer assisted was more beneficial than pure theory, which can improve the interest of classroom study. 80% (38/48)persons believed that GASMAN @ software was easy to master; 96% ((46/48)persons expressed interest in this learning method, willing to participate in the study, 90% (43/48)persons thinked it was necessary to develop this kind of teaching activities in the medical center. Conclusion compared with the traditional teaching, application GasMan @ software computer assisted teaching can improve the teaching effect of inhaled anesthesia .
