Abstract: Ultrasound-guided quadratus lumborum block (QLB) is a new method of truncal blockage in recent years. It is mainly used for combined or postoperative analgesia during cesarean delivery and other abdominal surgery. A large number of studies have shown that QLB can provide more extensive abdominal wall and visceral analgesia than transversus abdominis plane block(TAPB). The research advances of QLB will contribute to the development of new and safe methods of clinical anesthesia and analgesia. This review focuses on the recent advances, techniques and clinical applications regarding ultrasound-guided GLB.
