Abstract: Cardiac surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass can lead to a large loss of blood. Hemostatic drugs can not only prevent blood loss but also treat bleeding, They are commonly used blood conservation drugs. This article overviews the published literatures, introduces the application of several hemostatic drugs in cardiac surgery and analyzes their advantages and defects and provides reference for perioperative blood conservation. Although the application of blood conservation drugs have been updated in recent years, their dosage, timing and route of administration need further literature support.
