Abstract: Pain sensitivity is closely related to pain diagnosis and treatment, and there are obvious individual differences. In this paper, Quantitative Sensory Testing (QST) and Pain Sensitivity Questionnaire (PSQ) were introduced to assess pain sensitivity, where the pain thresholds of cold, heat, pressure and mechanical pain are measured and/or different types of pain intensities are assessed based on previous experience or subjectively described, so as to predict the individual sensitivity to pain. A comprehensively analyzing P2X receptor and catechol⁃O⁃methyl⁃transferase and other gene interactions, anxiety, depression gender, sleep, age, diet, body mass index (BMI), ethnicity, social and medical experience and other factors affecting pain sensitivity was conducted in order to accurately assess individual pain sensitivity and provide reference for precise analgesic treatment.
