脑周细胞与认知功能障碍

摘要:

认知功能障碍是各种原因所导致的认知功能损害,具体机制不明。已知血脑屏障(blood brain barrier, BBB)损害可能是其机制之一,而脑周细胞作为BBB的组成部分,参与BBB的形成与维持以及神经血管系统的调节。近来研究显示,脑周细胞损害与认知功能障碍密切相关。文章总结脑周细胞可能导致认知功能障碍的途径,脑周细胞参与阿尔茨海默病(Alzheimer's disease, AD)及术后神经认知障碍的病理过程,以期为认知功能障碍的防治提供新思路。

Abstract:

Cognitive dysfunction is the impairment of cognitive function caused by various reasons whereas the underlying mechanism is unknown. It is known that blood brain barrier (BBB) damage may be one of its mechanisms. As a component of the BBB, brain pericytes are involved in the formation and maintenance of the BBB and the regulation of the neurovascular system. Recent studies have shown that brain pericytes damage is associated with cognitive dysfunction. This review summarizes the ways that brain pericytes may lead to cognitive dysfunction, and how the brain pericytes participate in the pathological process of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and postoperative cognitive disorders. This review aims to provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of cognitive dysfunction.
