In recent years, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), its application in medicine is increasingly extensive. In this review, the application of AI in anesthesiology is summarized. The related researches of AI in anesthesiology application mainly focus on perioperative adverse event monitoring, automatic evaluation of anesthetic depth, automatic anesthetic drug delivery system and automatic ultrasonic image processing. AI has the potential to influence the clinical practice of anesthesia. On the other hand, as new research advances and technology development, anesthesiologists can provide practice‑based insights to help further develop AI.
