Abstract: Burnout is a syndrome of emotional exhaustion (EE), dehumanization (DP), and low personal achievement (PA) caused by long‑term exposure to work pressure. As one of the most stressful medical jobs, anesthesiologists have a high burnout rate. This article reviews the diagnosis of burnout, related risk factors, influence and intervention of anesthesiologists, and burnout of anesthesiologists in China, to provide a reference for reducing the burnout rate of anesthesiologists more effectively in the future.
