Abstract: Objective To develop the contents of anesthesiology nursing education before hepatectomy to assist anesthesiology nurses to systematically assess patients' needs and provide education during preoperative education. Methods Based on literature research and semi-structured interviews, 15 experts were consulted on the modified Delphi technique to determine the content of education. Results The effective recovery rate of the questionnaire in 2 rounds of expert consultation was 100%. In the second round of consultation, the expert authority coefficient was 0.867, and the Kendall coordination coefficient of expert opinions for the first, second and third indexes was 0.620, 0.189 and 0.124, respectively (P0.05). The final content of anesthesia nursing education before hepatectomy included 4 primary indexes (preoperative preparation, intraoperative management, postoperative complications, emotional function), 17 secondary indexes, and 47 tertiary indexes. Conclusion The contents of anesthesia nursing education before hepatectomy can be formulated by modified Delphi technique.
