In the context of the evolving SARS‑CoV‑2 pandemic, the demand for elective surgeries for infected patients will bring severe challenges to the medical system and clinical anesthesia work. Scheduling the timeframe of the surgery for infected patients, assessment of the vulnerability of contamination of SARS‑CoV‑2 through infected patients and application of safety measures to avoid the spread of infection in hospital are hot issues that we are concerned about. Through the discussion of the above issues, this article aims to provide reference for the formulation of anesthesia guidelines for patients with SARS‑CoV‑2 infection.
