Ciprofol is a new type of anesthetic sedative drug，with two quick and five low clinical characteristics，namely：quick onset；wake up quickly；less usage，wider safety window；less respiratory depression；fewer adverse cardiovascular events and stable circulation；less injuction pain and less lipid input。Compared with propofol，ciprofol has less respiratory depression and cardiovascular adverse events。It is an idea sedative drug to provide a better choice for the stable sedation and anesthesia of clinical elderly patients and critically ill patients.In this papper，the mechanism of action，pharmacokinetics，comparative analysis of drugs and clinical application of ciprofol were reviewed，aiming to provide theoretical basis for clinical application。
