Postoperative cognitive dysfunction(P0CD)has been reported as a complication of the central nervous system after a variety of surgical procedures．POCD is associated with a decline in performance of activities of daily living of elderly patients and can cause substantial damage to family and to social support systems.The influential factor of POCD is variety and the pathogenesis is unclear.In this article，we review the research progress of pathogenesis in this cognitive dysfunction.
