Abstract: Perianesthetic laryngospasm is an emergency that can result in significant morbidity and mortality in pediatric patients. Like any other anesthetic crisis, effective management of laryngospasm in children requires the application of appropriate knowledge, technical skills. Objects Aims of this review are to induce the knowledge related to Perianesthetic laryngospasm in children. Contents This article mainly reviews the related risk factors, pathophysiology, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of laryngospasm in children. Trend Identifying the risk factors and planning appropriate anesthetic management is a rational approach to reduce laryngospasm incidence and severity in children. Once the laryngospasm diagnosis in pediatric patients has been made, aggressive management must be immediately initiated.
