Abstract: Background End-stage pulmonary disease is one of the major healthcare challenges in the world, and lung transplantation is the only choice for survival. Yet, the donor organ shortage, needed and infective transmission limit the application of lung transplantation. The engineered lung tissue could theoretically overcome these hurdles. Objective This review will discuss recent advances of scaffolds in the tissue engineering. Content Narrating the scaffold of the lung in tissue engineering from performance, materials, preparation and prospect. Trend to provide new ideas and method for thetreatment on the therapy of end-stage lung diseases.
