Background　Cardioprotective effects of sevoflurane is widely concerned. Many animal experiments have confirmed that sevoflurane postconditioning（SPostC） has certain cardioprotective effects.　Objective　This article reviewed the research progress of SPostC and analyze the possible mechanisms of the cardioprotective effects of SPostC on the heart.　Content　Animal experimental evidences suggest that SPostC play a role in myocardial protection through various channels.　Trend　The precise mechanisms of myocardial protection of SPostC need to be further investigated.
