Background　Nowadays, as a blood conservation strategy, autologous blood salvage-reinfusion using cell saver is widely applied in clinical operation, which aims at reducing the intraoperative allogeneic blood requirement.　Objective　To review and summarize recent advances about intraoperative autologous blood salvage-reinfusion using cell saver in scoliosis orthopedic surgery.　Content　This review will focus on recent advances about the principles, benefits, efficacy, cost-effectiveness, and complications in the application of intraoperative autologous blood salvage-reinfusion using cell saver in scoliosis orthopedic surgery.　Trend　In further research, large-sample, multicenter, prospective, randomized controlled trials are necessary to certify the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of intraoperative autologous blood salvage-reinfusion using cell saver in scoliosis orthopedic surgery.
