Abstract: 【Abstract】Background: The incidence of perioperative hypersensitivity reactions, which can be life threatening, is one of the serious complications during general anesthesia. Drugs administered during anesthesia induction, especially neuromuscular blocking agents(NMBA), have a choice to make it happen. Objective: This article is a summary about clinical feature of anaphylactic reactions after cisatracurium administration, and a discussion of advantagements about various diagnosis methods, depending on the related domestic and international literatures. Content: Cisatracurium is a widely used new non-depolarising NMBA. Early reports suggested that cisatracurium released histamine is negligible. However, several cases of anaphylactic reactions after cisatracurium administration with severe symptoms of cardiovascular collapse and bronchospasm have been reported. Trend: The incidence of allergic reaction, which is caused by increasing utilization of cisatracurium, is rising day by day. This paper is intended to cause the attention of anesthesiologist, about allergic reaction caused by cisatracurium.
