Abstract: Propofol is an intravenous anesthetic widely used in clinical practice. Its blood concentration is of great significance in clinical application and scientific research. Here on the basis of a large number of literatures, we summarized the detection methods of blood propofol concentrations, explained the principles, advantages and disadvantages of each method, and discussed their application in the future. It is still necessary to explore accurate, non‑invasive, and safe detection methods that can be used in clinical setting.
