Abstract: Breast cancer surgery can cause severe postoperative acute and chronic pain. Many ways can alleviate perioperative breast pain, and regional block techniques are more effective and attractive. With the introduction of ultrasound visualization technology, the regional block has developed rapidly, especially interfascial nerve block. This article analyzes and summarizes literature about the effects of interfascial nerve block on the perioperative pain and postoperative recovery of breast cancer patients. An interfascial nerve block can reduce the consumption of analgesics postoperatively, reduce acute and chronic postoperative pain, and improve the postoperative comfort of the patients. However, it is indispensable to confirm the impact of interfascial nerve block on postoperative chronic pain and cancer recurrence with more clinical trials. Therefore, while interfascial nerve block is being promoted in breast cancer surgery, researchers should focus more on the safety and effectiveness of new block techniques and their impact on the long‑term outcome of breast cancer.
