Cerebral vasospasm (CVS) is the most common complication which causes high disability and mortality after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). So, the primitive prevention and treatment of CVS is the key to improving SAH's outcome. We review the relevant literature and evidence about the pathogenesis and treatment progress of CVS to contribute to the perioperative management and prognosis of patients with SAH.
