Abstract: Jugular foramen schwannoma, as one of the most complex basicranial tumors, has the characteristics of low incidence rate, as well as wide and close connections with nerves and blood vessels. The patients with the tumor often suffer from posterior cranial nerve injury at the same time before the operation, and this traumatic surgery often takes a long time. Therefore, it needs comprehensive electrophysiological monitoring of nerve function during operation, and complex perioperative management. Recently, Changhai Hospital Affiliated with Naval Medical University successfully completed a case of neurilemmoma resection and cranioplasty in the right jugular foramen area under general anesthesia. The following report is a detailed perioperative management experience. This case report summarized the experience of this case for providing a reference for the surgical management of such kinds of patients.
