Abstract: Acute ischemic stroke is a severe cerebrovascular disease. Thrombi lead to cerebral ischemia and even necrosis, thereby causing functional damage and consciousness disorders. This elderly patient underwent internal fixation surgery for a femoral fracture complicated with hypertension, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and intracranial multiple‑vessel stenosis. She suffered an acute ischemic stroke before the surgery and was initiated with dual antiplatelet therapy with clopidogrel and aspirin. Anesthesiologists chose ultrasound‑guided sciatic nerve block and lumbar plexus block for anesthesia. Her vital signs were stable during the surgery. Delirium and other neurological complications did not occur after the surgery.
