Abstract:

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is one of the common complications of cardiac surgery, which is significantly related to perioperative mortality. At present, the pathogenesis of AKI is not yet clear. Exploring new predictive indicators can help identify high‑risk patients in the early stage and take effective intervention measures to prevent the occurrence of AKI. Some studies have shown that urinary oxygen partial pressure (PuO2) can be used as an indicator for predicting AKI. This review summarizes the research advances of cardiac surgery‑associated acute kidney injury (CSA‑AKI) and the diagnostic and prognostic value of PuO2 in CSA‑AKI to provide new ideas for the prediction of CSA‑AKI in clinical practice.
